Do You Have to Wear Dresses These Days When You Want to Go Out?

Is it just me or has the dress become the new uniform of when you want to go out? I used to be able to wear jeans and nice tops, but now all shops sell are dresses, and all that is fashionable and proper to wear out, is a dress. I have fat legs so I don’t look good in dresses – and don’t even sugegst maxi dresses as I hate those! Aaa what to do?

Going Clubbing in a Maxi Dress

im going clubbing for my birthday to club tigerheat which is a really causal club (people wear jeans flip flops t shirts etc.) is it silly to wear a maxi dress like this <img src="http://www.forever21.com/images/large/54734839-03.jpg">.or i could do a floral one and go with a hippie vibe like wavy hair and a leather headband. is this silly for a club? thanks

Clothes Shopping in Melbourne

So, I live in Melbourne, and I badly need to get some clothes for spring/summer, but I’m kinda sick of the generic teen shops like Supre, Cotton On, Valleygirl etc. Most of their clothes (mainly Supre) are kinda trashy imo (no offense) and I was only shopping there because it was cheap and everyone else was. My style is a mix of summery, bohemian clothes like printed maxi dresses, gypsy skirts, flowy tops etc. with light cardis, shorts, plain singlet tops and jeans.
Any suggestions on where to shop? I’m buying a lot of clothes (I literally have no clothes, I haven’t bought anything in like 6+ months) so the prices would have to be cheap/reasonable, so no designer clothes (they’re gorgeous, but so expensive). Should I go to somewhere like Highpoint/Chadstone or little streets and boutiques?

Thanks :]
